The 100 Black Men Milledgeville/Oconee, Inc. is a Non-Profit Organization whose primary function is to mentor young African American males. Our goal is to develop social and economic skills in such a way that our mentees realize their potential to be successful and significant.
By stressing the importance of obtaining and applying education, and providing tools that empower, our youth are more able to forge ahead toward self-sufficiency, cultivated civic interaction, and business leadership.
As a registered chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., we understand that not all youth are born with privilege, opportunities, or a supportive network. Many are raised within family situations and environments where the belief that what they want in life – something better than this – is unattainable. Oftentimes the desire and hope of becoming who they truly are and living out their purpose is muted, pressed down until almost invisible.
However, to counter this disillusionment, the 100 Black Men Milledgeville/Oconee, and 100 members all around the world, are committed to developing our communities into places where everyone, in particular, African American youth, believe in their ability to succeed within societal norms. We strive to work together to assist our young men to create a future in which they can be proud to be a family, raise a family, and build a legacy.
Our commitment includes being accountable for our own actions and personifying the type of behavior our mentees can look up to and emulate. We embrace this responsibility of being role models, our own life choices reflecting who we are and who each one of them can become, choosing from endless possibilities.
Here in the Milledgeville/Oconee area we have partnered with other non-profit organizations, private corporations, and local and state representatives and departments to assist us in implementing our programs and initiatives under the four areas of focus put forth by the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. – Baldwin County Schools, Law Enforcement Officials, Counselors, Health Care representatives, to name a few.
Our commitment to continuously improve and implement our programs and initiatives is what drives us forward to serve our youth and our community.

Helping shape our mentees realize their potential by showing them how to be successful and significant, stressing the importance of obtaining and applying education, and providing them the tools that empower them for self-sufficiency, cultivated civic, and business leadership.
